Purpose: This project aimed to take a closer look at Feeding Tampa Bay’s social media presence and understand audience engagement. I wanted to see what they were doing well, what could be improved, and how their content supports their mission.
My Role: Social media analyst and researcher.
Tools Used: Instagram Insights, Facebook, Canva for visuals, and the Feeding Tampa Bay website.
Process: I reviewed their recent Instagram and Facebook posts and looked at visuals, captions, engagement, and overall messaging. I paid attention to how often they posted, what types of posts performed better, and how consistent their tone was. I also looked at comments and shares to get a sense of what people reacted to.
From there, I put together the main strengths, like emotional storytelling and mission-focused content, and areas they could improve, such as using more interactive posts, highlighting under-promoted content like their podcast, and improving posting consistency.
I also created sample posts to test ideas like hashtag use and informational graphics, and tracked the engagement on my own account to compare results.
Final Deliverables: My final audit included screenshots of sample content I made, seven days of engagement observations, and recommendations to help increase reach, content performance, and overall audience connection.
What I Learned: This project helped me understand how to evaluate a brand’s online presence from a strategic point of view. I learned how visuals, messaging, and small content shifts can affect audience engagement and how tools like analytics and AI can support the content creation process.
